Multiple windows

Kubius lets you open more than one main window, each connected to its own cluster - so you can watch or operate two clusters side by side and change either one without affecting the other. It’s available on every plan.

Opening a second window

Choose File ▸ New Window (⌘N) - a fresh, independent window opens.

Each window is fully independent:

• Its own cluster connection, watches, namespace filter and navigation history.
• Switch its context from Context ▸ Switch Context (or the context row) - only that window changes. The other window keeps its cluster.
• Detail windows, terminals and floating log viewers you open from a window belong to that window, and close with its context switch - they don’t disturb the other window.

A new window starts on your last-used cluster; switch its context to point it at a different one.

Good to know

A few things are deliberately app-wide rather than per-window:

• Desktop notifications (crash-loops, node pressure, rollouts, etc.) come from your primary window’s cluster. Tapping a notification navigates that window.
• The menu-bar health dot reflects the primary window’s cluster.

Settings ▸ Resources follows whichever window you were last working in, so the watch toggles you see - and change - apply to that window’s cluster.

Everything you do inside a window - browsing, logs, port-forwards, right-sizing, applying YAML - is scoped to that window’s cluster.

Closing a window leaves the others untouched.
