Kubernetes custom resource

You found Kubius.

You probably reached kubius.io/v1alpha1 from a custom resource in a Kubernetes cluster. That resource is created by Kubius - a native macOS client for Kubernetes - to store right-sizing results inside your own cluster, so a team can share them.

It's optional and off by default - someone on your team turned it on. The data stays in your cluster and is never sent to Kubius. You can safely ignore, or remove, the resource at any time.

What Kubius is

A fast, native macOS app that talks to your clusters directly with your own kubeconfig - read-only by default, zero install in the cluster.

  • Browse every resource type with live updates, logs and YAML
  • Metrics, dashboards and data-driven right-sizing
  • Port-forwarding, terminals, RBAC & network-policy tools
  • Google GKE, Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, DigitalOcean, self-managed and more clusters, side by side

About this resource

RightSizingResult (kubius.io/v1alpha1) holds the right-sizing history for one workload, so Kubius users on the cluster can share it.

  • The CPU/memory values are encrypted at rest
  • It lives only in your cluster - nothing goes to Kubius
  • It's created by the app, with no controller and no extra workload
  • Delete it any time - it's just stored data
