How is Kubius different from the Kubernetes Dashboard?
The Kubernetes Dashboard is a web app you deploy into the cluster and reach via a proxy and a service-account token. Kubius is a native macOS app that connects directly with your kubeconfig - nothing runs in the cluster, and you get live watch streams, richer detail views, logs, metrics and more.
Do I need to deploy anything or create a token?
No. There's no dashboard pod, proxy or service account to set up. Kubius uses the credentials already in your kubeconfig, including GKE, EKS and AKS auth plugins.
Is it more secure?
There's no long-lived dashboard token living in the cluster, and your credentials and data stay on your Mac. Access is governed by your own kubeconfig and RBAC.
