How does Kubius authenticate to GKE?
Through the standard gke-gcloud-auth-plugin exec plugin in your kubeconfig - so your gcloud login and service accounts work exactly as they do with kubectl, with nothing extra to set up.
How accurate is the cost view?
It estimates spend from current Compute Engine instance pricing for your node types, attributed by namespace and workload from live requests and usage - a practical guide to where budget goes, not a billing replacement.
Do I need to install anything in my GKE cluster?
No. No agents, no Helm charts. Kubius reads the standard Kubernetes API; the metrics API (metrics-server) powers live charts when present.
Does it work with other clouds too?
Yes - the same app handles EKS, AKS, DigitalOcean, self-managed and more. GKE is just one context in your kubeconfig.
